Thank You to the Community for Your Continued Support! December 13, 2022

We are grateful and thankful to our Fire District 13 voters and citizens for their overwhelming support of the Fire Levy Lid Lift proposition recently approved on the November 8th election.

As a mostly volunteer fire department serving the Browns Point and Dash Point areas, Fire District 13 exists to provide:

  • fire prevention services
  • fire suppression services
  • emergency medical services
  • protection of life and property

All actions of fire district staff, volunteers and commissioners must be in furtherance of the services and mission noted above. Restoring the Fire tax levy to $1.00 per thousand of assessed property valuation will maintain the previously approved funding levels allow the District to improve operational services, assist with fire apparatus upgrades, and plan for potentials station renovations that will meet current regulations and health & safety standards.

We appreciate the community support and public trust, as evidenced by the recent election results. We will continue to evaluate our service, improve operational procedures, provide comprehensive training, and engage in strategic planning to ensure Fire District 13’s financial resources are carefully allocated to support the services provided.

Thank You Browns Point / Dash Point Community,

Fire District 13 Staff & Commissioners
Pierce County Fire District 13
