Members of the public have expressed conern about access to our Public Records Index, as defined in RCW 42.56.070. This statutory requirement is quite burdensome for any agency, especially a primarily volunteer Fire Protection District, such as ours. This was recognized by the legislature many years ago and relief was provided whereby maintenance of such an index would be overly burdensome to our small agency. While that relief has been in place for many years, our Board of Commissioners contemplated in May of 2025 to re-state their policy position in the form of a Resolution, which you may view or download below:
